Mission
The Preschool Ministry at Brainerd Baptist Church exists to provide a secure, nurturing environment for preschoolers where Biblical truths are taught as a foundation for salvation and Christian living.

Purpose
In Luke 2:52, the Bible says, “And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.” Our goals for this ministry are based on the fact that preschoolers grow just as Jesus grew-mentally (in wisdom), physically (in stature), socially/emotionally (in favor with man), and spiritually (in favor with God).

We seek to:
1. Lay a strong spiritual foundation based on Biblical truths.
2. Help preschoolers begin to understand God as creator, Jesus as God’s Son, and the Bible as God’s inspired word.
3. Make church an inviting, clean, and safe place for children to learn and play.
4. Partner with the home in nurturing the spiritual growth of each preschooler.
5. Encourage parents to participate in worship, Bible study, fellowship, and ministry opportunities

Activity-Based Teaching Approach
Deuteronomy 6:5-7 instructs adults to teach children as they go about the everyday, familiar activities of life. This Biblical principle is implemented at church as we utilize stations with activities such as crafts, stories, home-living, dramatic play, books, puzzles, nature, and music. Each activity is planned to help children learn a Bible truth so that preschoolers begin to understand that the Bible has meaning for daily living.
