What is the School of Discipleship?
In obedience to the Great Commission, Brainerd Baptist Church announces the inauguration of the School of Discipleship, a six-week cycle of courses designed to help our church members become equipped to be the ministers God has called them to be. Ephesians 4:11–13 says, “And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of the ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ” (ESV).

The proper equipping of the saints occurs when the Word of God is “rightly divided.” (2 Tim. 2:15). With these two verses as a theme for this ministry, we have chosen to create the School of Discipleship.

Why a School of Discipleship?
The staff of Brainerd Baptist Church believes that we are to be equippers for ministry. The staff trains the members to be all God has called them to be for His glory.

With this understanding and the goal of Christ-likeness in mind, the pastoral staff has prayerfully considered and wholeheartedly affirmed the establishment of the School
of Discipleship.

When will the School of Discipleship take place?
The School of Discipleship takes place on Sundays nights in the Spring and Fall.
