We want to deliver the Word of God in a creative, fun and engaging way, partner with parents in a child’s discipleship journey, and introduce children to being deployed to share the message of the Gospel with friends, neighbors and around the world. Our desire is for children to form a lifelong relationship with Jesus Christ through repentance and faith.
Saturday Night & Sunday Morning
6:30pm – 7:30pm | Life Groups at the BX (K5-5th)
11:15am | Kids Worship in the Underground at the Main Building (K5-3rd)
10:00 – 11:00am | Life Groups (K5-5th)
Our weekends are designed to reinforce Biblical truths and assist in each child’s walk with the Lord. Our weekend ministry utilizes The Gospel Project for Kids curriculum during Life Group and Worship. The study takes children on a three year chronological journey through the entire story of the Bible. Each week’s lesson makes a reference pointing to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Through hands on activities, Bible stories, videos, dramas, and music, the Word is delivered in an exciting way.
Classes are divided by grade level and are lead by our committed volunteers who love Jesus and families. Each weekend the children experience a Bible lesson through various methods of teaching and activities. Activity sheets are sent home each week to give parents an overview of the week’s lesson. Plus, a weekly daily Bible reading bookmark guides families in a reading plan leading up to the next week’s lesson.
Designed to be a worship service to prepare K5 to 3rd graders to transition into the family worship experience. Our goal is to provide a worship experience at a child’s level of understanding that teaches them the meanings of the elements of a worship service.
We believe discipleship should begin at home. Therefore, we are introducing a new tool for families to use to help promote Biblical conversations and family prayer time. This resource is called Family Talk.
Each Family Talk will follow along in Scripture with what the children are learning in Life Groups each weekend. We will release one Unit at a time. Each day is designed to be a 5-10 minute discussion that could take place in the car, around the dinner table, at bed time, etc.
If your family doesn't already have a resource that you use for family devotions, try this out!
Wednesday @ 6:30-7:30pm in the Underground
Great Commission Airlines (K5 to 5th grade)
Great Commission Airlines is a focus on missions designed to help children understand that God wants them to be part of His plan as they learn about missions, pray for missions, give to missions, and do missions. One of our favorite activities during the year is the Operation Christmas Child packing party.
Using curriculum from the Woman’s Missionary Union (WMU.com), children will learn:
How to cultivate a biblical worldview with an emphasis on missions learning and missional living
How to develop leadership skills to serve God and share His love with others
How to grow spiritually in their understanding of God and His mission, including how they are a part of God’s plan.
Vacation Bible School
VBS at Brainerd is an annual ministry designed for children ages K to 5th grade centered around a specific theme. During the fun-filled spiritual adventure, children experience sound, relevant Bible study through age appropriate activities like Bible time, crafts, music, and games.
Each Summer our 3rd-5th graders have the opportunity to go to Kids Camp! Kids Camp is one of the highlights of the summer for kids who attend. At Kids Camp, children are able to get away for several days to learn about Jesus in an age appropriate way, worship with their peers, play games, and build relationships with other children from our church.
Each year Kindergarteners are presented with a new Bible by the Pastor as they are welcomed into the children's area.
