Strategic Partners

International Mission Board

That’s a word we’ve used recently at IMB to describe our vision for partnering with Southern Baptist churches and other Great Commission Christians. We want to vastly expand our missions efforts for the spread of the gospel to every people group on the planet, forging a dynamic network of pathways connecting churches and individuals directly to IMB missionary teams around the world.

Consider our world today:

– Nearly a million people are plunging into a Christless eternity every single month in China alone …

– Millions of Syrian refugees are more open today to hearing the gospel than ever before …

– People groups who are not only unengaged and unreached, but up until now have been totally uncontacted by the outside world …

In view of these realities and opportunities, we don’t have time to stay stagnant, much less shrink back. The gospel is too good and our God is too great. We must do all that we can to see an ever-increasing, Christ-exalting, Spirit-filled force of men and women pursuing the nations for the glory of his name.

That’s why we exist: to partner with churches to empower limitless missionary teams who are making disciples and multiplying churches among unreached peoples and places for the glory of God.

In Acts 6, Stephen is described as being full of faith (verse 5), grace (verse 8), power (verse 8), wisdom (verse 10), and the Holy Spirit (verses 5, 10). This picture describes our prayer as we partner together: that God would grant each of us individually and all of us collectively supernatural, Spirit-filled faith, grace, power, and wisdom to do whatever he calls us to do, no matter what it may cost us (Acts 7:54-60), for the spread of the greatest news in all the world to men, women, and children who have never heard it (Acts 8:4; 11:19ff.).

Nehemiah Teams

Nehemiah Teams vision is to lead students to finish the Great Commission in this generation. They do this through an 8-week summer mission opportunity for students ages 17-29 which strategically involves them in cross-cultural missions among unreached people groups. As a program of the International Mission Board (IMB), Nehemiah Teams partners with IMB personnel and other global Christians, connecting with state conventions, local Southern Baptist associations & churches to reach the unreached & hard to reach.

IMB Embrace Partnership

God’s mission is clear – proclaim His Name among all peoples. Yet today there are still over 3,000 people groups not being engaged with the Gospel. There is no one working intentionally among them to see churches planted. Your church can take the Gospel to a people who have not heard. If God is leading you to Embrace an unengaged, unreached people group, begin your journey at

North American Mission Board

The North American Mission Board is an entity supported by the generous contributions of Southern Baptists with the goal of seeing the gospel change lives and communities. NAMB assists churches with evangelistic church planting strategy, the identification and training of missionaries, chaplains and church planters through the Send Network, and helps churches impact their communities through Send Relief. NAMB accomplishes this by serving in cooperation with churches, associations, state conventions, other national SBC entitles and the Canadian National Baptist Convention.

SEND TN Mission

Send TN Missions is committed to sending Tennessee university students to share the love of Christ across the world. The student missions program, called Send TN Missions, has sent over 1500 students around the world as student missionaries. Furthermore, students throughout Tennessee have raised more than $1 million dollars over the years to support their peers who have served as missionaries. Send TN Missions mobilizes students from Tennessee Baptist churches and Baptist Collegiate Ministries (BCM). They are a ministry of the Tennessee Baptist Convention (TBC). If you have specific questions regarding our BCM Missions program, please contact Tiffany Bailey.

Open Doors

Mission: To strengthen and equip the Body of Christ living under or facing restriction and persecution because of their faith in Jesus Christ, and to encourage their involvement in world evangelism by: Providing Bibles and literature, media, leadership training, socio-economic development and through intercessory prayer; Preparing the Body of Christ living in threatened or unstable areas to face persecution and suffering; and Educating and mobilizing the Body of Christ living in the free world to identify with threatened and persecuted Christians and be actively involved in assisting them.

World Watch List

The World Watch List (WWL) is a ranking of 50 countries where persecution of Christians for religious reasons is at its worst. The list covers persecution of Christians of all denominations in the entire country. The focus is on persecution for their faith, not persecution for political, economic, social, ethnic or accidental reasons.

BBC is working in 10 of the 50 countries in the next year.

Faith Comes By Hearing

God’s Word is for every tribe, people, and tongue. Faith Comes By Hearing is committed to reaching the nations with the Word of God in audio, offering the Bible in a format that will connect with the world’s 50% illiterate population. To accomplish this enormous task, the Lord has assembled a group of committed leaders and dedicated servants of His Word to develop into a reality the vision of bringing His church together and making disciples.

The word nation is the Greek word ethnos, which means of the same language and people group, not the political borders of a country. The worldwide Bible translation and distribution ministries have determined there are 6,809 ethnos, or nations, in the world, most of which cross many political borders.
