Path to Membership

1. Membership Matters Class

Membership Matters is a class geared toward those interested in becoming a member of our Brainerd Baptist Church family. During this class, you will have the opportunity to meet staff members and hear about our beliefs and values.

We ask all those pursing membership to attend a Membership Matters class as the first step toward becoming a member at Brainerd Baptist.

Make plans to attend one of our classes in 2024…

  • Saturday morning, January 20 - 9-11AM, BX Crosspointe Rooms

  • Wednesday evening, April 17 - 6:15-8PM, BX Crosspointe Rooms

  • Sunday evening, June 23 - location and time TBD

  • Wednesday evening, September 18 - location and time TBD

2. Membership Interview

If you are interested in pursuing the next step toward membership after the class, we will contact you to set up a meeting with one of our pastors/directors for your membership interview. This interview is intended to help us get to know you, hear your story, identify opportunities for you to connect with the ministries of our church, and answer any questions you may have.

During this interview we will discuss the significance of believer’s baptism and our church covenant. Membership at Brainerd requires every member to experience salvation prior to participating in believer’s baptism. For more information about our convictions on believer’s baptism, click here. 3. Presentation at Members Meeting

Once the membership interview is completed with pastor/director approval, we will add you to the New Members List to be voted on in a quarterly members meeting. If you are transferring your membership from another like-minded church, we will request a letter of transfer from that church to notify them of your intent to join Brainerd. Once voted on, you will be a Brainerd member!
